About Midland Marble & Granite Flooring America Midland Marble & Granite's Flooring America
is the largest seller/installer of granite, marble and flooring
products in the Midwest. You’ll find our work in some of the most
impressive homes and public venues such as Crown Center and Liberty
Memorial. This is our story…
Established in 1996, MMG was the
fulfillment of a lifelong dream for Bryan Caton and his brother Mike.
Both were tile setters, working in Florida at the time, when Bryan’s
high school best friend, Larry Whitmire, flew to Florida to try
convince Bryan to come back to Kansas City where he could work into an
equity partnership position with a tile company he knew about. Bryan
moved back and worked for the company, but the partnership didn’t pan
out as promised. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, Bryan chose to
pursue the American dream on his own. That’s when Midland Marble and
Granite was born.
Since then, the two brothers have made a lot
of history, and made our town a much more beautiful place to live. You
can see their marvelous work in the Sprint Campus, the river boats, the
Block Center, the Stowers Institute and many other places. You’ll find
their gorgeous countertops adorning the kitchens of the most beautiful
homes in Kansas City.
Along the way, Bryan and Mike acquired
state-of-the-art fabrication equipment that gave them unsurpassed
production capabilities and enabled them to provide quality, service
and value beyond compare. Their installation crews grew, and they were
able to attract and retain some of the most talented and knowledgeable
craftsmen in the trade. They began importing granite and marble slabs
from all over the world so their customers could choose from the most
exotic and beautiful materials available.
Now, firmly
established as the Midwest’s leading provider of granite and marble
products for both residential and commercial projects, the brothers
looked for other ways to service their customers. The result was the
acquisition of the FlooringAmerica franchises in Kansas City and Omaha.
It one bold move, Midland Marble and Granite could now offer a huge
array of carpet, tile, hardwood and vinyl flooring products at a
tremendous value.
Today Midland Marble and Granite’s Flooring
America is headquartered in it’s Lee’s Summit location, where there is
also a large showroom and warehouse. The fabrication plant is located
in “the caves,” and other retail stores are in Overland Park, North
Kansas City and Omaha.
